Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Gardner-South Wilmington

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tri-Point, Grace Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They secured a 47-42 W over the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers. The Crusaders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Grace Christian Academy found their leader in freshman Zoey Baldridge, who went 12 for 16 on her way to 26 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Baldridge has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Jorgensen, who went 7 of 15 en route to 15 points.

Grace Christian Academy moved to 2-11 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grace Christian Academy will face off against Illinois Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gardner-South Wilmington, they will challenge Grant Park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
