Soccer Game Preview: Harlingen vs. Clemens

The Harlingen Cardinals will face off against the Clemens Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Harlingen is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Edinburg North get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Gael Zuniga had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Harlingen.

Meanwhile, Eagle Pass kept up with Clemens until halftime on Friday, but afterwards: not so much. Clemens was the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over Eagle Pass. The victory was nothing new for Clemens as they're now sitting on four straight.

Clemens' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three games. As for Harlingen, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11-1 record this season.
