Volleyball Recap: Tates Creek Falls Short Against Ranked Henry Clay

Tates Creek faced Henry Clay in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Commodores took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils. If the Commodores were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Blue Devils when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-15, 19-25, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Cooper Pugh, who had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces he has posted since April 1st.

Tates Creek has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9-1 record this season. As for Henry Clay, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.

Tates Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Henry Clay, they will challenge Marion County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
