Soccer Recap: Washington Has No Trouble Against Dunkerton

Washington lost to Dunkerton back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Raiders. That's two games straight that Washington have won by exactly three goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Washington and bumps their season record up to 2-12. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored eight goals over those two matches. As for Dunkerton, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Washington and Dunkerton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. The Warriors will challenge Cedar Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (184 vs. 43). Meanwhile, Dunkerton (ranked 172nd) will meet Iowa City (ranked 49th) at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
