Softball Recap: East Chapel Hill Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

East Chapel Hill's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Northern Durham Knights 22-13. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

McKenna White looked comfortable as she tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Lauren Steiner was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, six runs, and six RBI. Those six runs gave her a new career-high. Kay Silver was another key player, scoring two runs while going 6-for-6.

East Chapel Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory snapped East Chapel Hill's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Northern Durham, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

East Chapel Hill wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 17-7 defeat against Jordan on the 27th. As for Northern Durham, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Hillside on the 27th.
