Georgia Top 25 high school boys basketball rankings: Grayson leads three one-loss teams on top of the heap

The Rams start New Year with three decisive wins to hold on to top spot; Shiloh and Woodward Academy right behind.

Sixth-ranked Grayson only Georgia team among the Xcellent 25 national rankings.

Defending national champion Grayson continues its stranglehold on the MaxPreps Georgia boys basketball computer rankings following two decisive wins last week, South Gwinnett (Snellville), 81-33, and Rockdale County (Conyers), 79-51.

The Rams have a computer rating of 32.6, which is way ahead of No. 2 Shiloh (Snellville) and No. 3 Woodward Academy (College Park), which both have sparkling 17-1 records.

Grayson has won eight straight since its only loss, an 84-80 loss to Newton on Dec. 10. Newton (13-5) is ranked No. 21 in the state.

Defending national champion McEachern (12-4), led by reigning national Player of the Year Sharife Cooper, is ranked No. 4. Grayson drilled McEachern 83-57 on Dec. 14 in the Atlanta Hawks Naismith Classic.
