Basketball Recap: Fyffe Comes Up Short

Fyffe won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were beaten by the Plainview Bears 72-37. The Red Devils have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Fyffe's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Plainview, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.

Fyffe will take on Geraldine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Geraldine knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Fyffe likes a good challenge. As for Plainview, they will face off against North Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for North Jackson: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Plainview has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
