Basketball Recap: Denison Comes Up Short

Denison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 47-40 to the Melissa Cardinals. If the Yellow Jackets were looking for revenge after losing 59-32 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Denison's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Melissa, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5.

Denison will finish 2024 at home by hosting Bonham at 11:00 a.m. on December 28th. As for Melissa, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Melissa Cardinals duke it out with the Celina Bobcats at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th.
