Basketball Recap: Glades Day Takes a Loss

Glades Day was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 44-7 loss at the hands of the Clewiston Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-17 back in December of 2024.

Clewiston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tyra Fields led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Fields is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kalyn Johnson, who posted nine points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Glades Day's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Clewiston, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4.

Glades Day will welcome FAU High at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Clewiston, they will venture away from home to challenge Avon Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
