Softball Recap: Alleman Takes a Loss

Alleman came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Sterling Golden Warriors, falling 17-4. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Golden Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Alleman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Schneider, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple.

Alleman's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Sterling, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alleman will venture away from home to take on East Moline United at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sterling, they will head out to face off against Rockridge at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
