Basketball Recap: Des Moines Christian Piles Up the Points Against Woodward-Granger

Des Moines Christian waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Woodward-Granger Hawks 76-44. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Des Moines Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Woodward-Granger, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Des Moines Christian will take on Pleasantville in a holiday battle at at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Des Moines Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Pleasantville likes a good challenge. As for Woodward-Granger, they will head out to face off against Ogden at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodward-Granger is facing Ogden at the right time seeing as Ogden is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
