Softball Game Preview: Canyon Cowboys vs. Burbank Bulldogs

The Canyon Cowboys will be taking part in a tournament against the Burbank Bulldogs at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Canyon is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Canyon came up short against Heritage Christian on Thursday, falling 12-2.

Canyon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rose Aguilar, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that Aguilar hit this season.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Burbank brought some dynamite into their most recent game. They were the clear victor by a 12-4 margin over Alhambra on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Burbank, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3-1.

Canyon came out on top in a nail-biter against Burbank in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will Canyon repeat their success, or does Burbank have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
