Basketball Recap: West Has No Trouble Against Ocean View

West's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 74-54 margin over the Ocean View Seahawks. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 378th, while the Seahawks are ranked 1024th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ocean View's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cristian Moore, who posted 11 points and six rebounds. Those six boards gave Moore a new career-high. Cavin Flanagan was another key player, putting up ten points.

West is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Ocean View, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-19.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West has already played their next game (against South), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ocean View will face off against Katella at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ocean View is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.5 points per game this season.
