Soccer Recap: Hillsborough Takes a Loss

If Hillsborough was feeling good fresh off their 5-2 takedown of Plant City last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hillsborough Terriers fell 4-2 to the Alonso Ravens on Tuesday. The Terriers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ravens apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Boden Parra and Abraham Noguera scored both of Hillsborough's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Hillsborough's loss dropped their record down to 6-4-2. As for Alonso, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4-2.

Hillsborough has already played their next match (against Lennard), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Alonso will head out to face off against Newsome at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Alonso is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.
