Baseball Recap: Northern York Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Northern York won against Dover on Monday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Polar Bears narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the New Oxford Colonials 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Polar Bears.

Ambrose Depasqua spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gavin Bucek was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Brody Kolivoski also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Northern York pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for New Oxford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-6.

As of now, neither Northern York nor the Colonials have any future games scheduled.
