Softball Recap: North Rockland Raiders vs. Ketcham Storm
After losing to Ketcham the last time they met, North Rockland decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Raiders came out on top against the Storm by a score of 5-1 on Thursday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.
Tara Murphy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs.
