Basketball Recap: Sandy Comes Up Short

Sandy lost against David Douglas back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sandy Pioneers fell 70-63 to the David Douglas Scots. The Pioneers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Sandy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for David Douglas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Sandy will host Reynolds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sandy is facing Reynolds at the right time seeing as Reynolds is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for David Douglas, they will venture away from home to challenge Nelson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Nelson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully David Douglas likes a good challenge.
