The home team had won the previous three meetings between Kasson-Mantorville and Cannon Falls, and Kasson-Mantorville kept the tradition alive. The Komets walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bombers on Friday. This was payback for the Komets, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Kasson-Mantorville got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 34-32, 23-25, 25-18.

Kasson-Mantorville's victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6. As for Cannon Falls, their defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9.

Kasson-Mantorville and Cannon Falls should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. The Komets (ranked 88th) will meet Faribault (ranked 350th) at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Cannon Falls will face off against Lourdes at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (106 vs. 318).
