Soccer Game Preview: Stansbury vs. Park City

Stansbury is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will welcome the Park City Miners at 3:30 p.m. Park City took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Stansbury, who comes in off a win.

If Stansbury beats Park City with three goals on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Stansbury walked away with a 3-1 victory over Hunter on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Stallions have won by exactly two goals.

Hayden Maughan and Lorenzo Call scored all three of Stansbury's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Park City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Cottonwood.

Park City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Stansbury, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Stansbury came up short against Park City when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Stansbury avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
