After a string of 11 wins, Episcopal School of Jacksonville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the First Coast Buccaneers by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Riley Applebee made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 17-4. As for First Coast, their record now sits at 8-12.

Looking ahead, Episcopal School of Jacksonville will be playing at home against West Nassau at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for First Coast, they will head out on the road to square off against Andrew Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.73 runs per game on average), something the Buccaneers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
