Basketball Recap: Oakton Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Oakton can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 73-43 loss at the hands of the Yorktown Patriots. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost four in a row.

Oakton now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Yorktown, their victory bumped their record up to 20-3.

Oakton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yorktown, they will square off against Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westfield will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Yorktown surely won't give up without a fight.
