Volleyball Recap: Marin Catholic Wildcats vs. Folsom Bulldogs
Marin Catholic and Folsom squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Marin Catholic had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 3-0.
Marin Catholic actually scored more points across those five sets (106-105), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 20-25, 20-25, 15-13.
Khloe Wong had an outrageously good game for Folsom as she had 30 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Wong has posted since back in October of 2024.
This is the second loss in a row for Marin Catholic and nudges their season record down to 25-8. As for Folsom, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-9 record this season.
Marin Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Folsom, they will take on Archbishop Mitty at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
