Andrean has gone a perfect 3-0 against Rensselaer Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Fighting 59ers will venture away from home to square off against the Bombers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Andrean sitting on nine straight wins and Rensselaer Central on six.
Andrean is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Wheeler with a sharp 28-6 victory. The Fighting 59ers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 21 points or more this season.
Andrean's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Elish, who rushed for 47 yards and one TD, and also threw for 59 yards and one touchdown. Tyler Vo was another key pass catcher, picking up 105 receiving yards and one score.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Andrean's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Vinny Zsuppon, Landen Murray, and Jordan Lofay, who each picked up one sack apiece. Andrean got some further help from Zsuppon: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rensselaer Central beat Bremen 17-12 on Friday.

Andrean's record now sits at 9-1. As for Rensselaer Central, their record is now 9-2.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Andrean has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 173 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Rensselaer Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 236 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Andrean took their victory against Rensselaer Central when the teams last played back in October of 2021 by a conclusive 28-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Fighting 59ers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
