Fairfield Central had won nine straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 3-1 to make it ten. They walked away with a 29-22 victory over the Lewisville Lions. The Griffins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Kenyan Douglas went supernova, rushing for 127 yards while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.

Fairfield Central's defense stepped up as well, laying out Matthew Cousar. four times. Keshon Williams refused to say out of the backfield, picking up two sacks all by himself.

As for Lewisville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. They gained 144 more yards on the day, but it was Fairfield Central that made the best use of them.

Lewisville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacorreun Howze, who picked up 109 receiving yards, and also rushed for 30 yards and one TD. Jalen Culp also helped out as he racked up 106 receiving yards.

Fairfield Central has already played their next game, a 45-34 defeat against Newberry on the 19th. As for Lewisville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-13 loss against Andrew Jackson on the 19th.
