Moriah and Haldane squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly Moriah had to settle for second. They took a 67-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Haldane Blue Devils. Moriah's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Moriah's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Gilbo, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Allen, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds.
Moriah's defeat dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Haldane, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.
