Baseball Recap: Hampshire Comes Up Short

Hampshire came into this matchup off a tough seven-run loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Washington Patriots by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Trojans have suffered since March 29th.

This is the second loss in a row for Hampshire and nudges their season record down to 8-14. As for Washington, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9-1 record this season.

Hampshire will venture away from home to take on Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Washington, they will face off against Musselman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
