Waynedale proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Lake Blue Streaks. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Bears sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Waynedale's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Lake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-11.

Waynedale and Lake should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Golden Bears will face off against St. Edward at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (12 vs. 115). Meanwhile, Lake (ranked 62nd) will meet Cloverleaf (ranked 307th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
