Baseball Recap: Valley Forge Takes a Loss

Valley Forge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They lost 9-2 to the Rocky River Pirates. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 7, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Valley Forge's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Rocky River, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley Forge will host Lorain at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rocky River, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Avon Lake at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Shoremen have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
