Soccer Game Preview: Etowah vs. North Cobb

The Etowah Eagles will head out to square off against the North Cobb Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Etowah managed to keep up with Walton until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Etowah lost 4-0 to Walton. Etowah haven't had much luck with Walton recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, North Cobb was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against Denmark, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, North Cobb can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Denmark are ranked 41st).

North Cobb's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Etowah, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8-1.
