On Friday Alcester-Hudson's undefeated season almost came to an end. They had just enough and edged out the Viborg/Hurley Cougars 28-26. For the Cubs, this counts as revenge for the 48-38 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Alcester-Hudson's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Viborg/Hurley, the loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Alcester-Hudson will welcome Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freeman/Marion/Freeman Academy's defense has only allowed 11.8 points per game this season, so Alcester-Hudson's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Viborg/Hurley, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Garretson at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
