Football Game Preview: Shadow Creek Sharks vs. South Houston Trojans

The Shadow Creek Sharks will challenge the South Houston Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Friday, Shadow Creek came up short against Pearland and fell 21-14. The game marked the Sharks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Shadow Creek saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jaylen Addai picked up 167 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those 167 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Addai.

Meanwhile, South Houston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Pasadena Memorial 49-15. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly 34 points.

Shadow Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for South Houston, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.

Everything came up roses for Shadow Creek against South Houston in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-0 win. Will the Sharks repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
