Softball Recap: Anson Sets Scoring Season-High Against Monroe

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Anson). They blew past the Monroe Redhawks 25-4 on Thursday. The Bearcats haven't had any issues with the Redhawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Anson's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Monroe, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anson will head out to challenge West Stanly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colts will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Bearcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Monroe, they will venture away from home to square off against Queen's Grant at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Stallions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Redhawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
