Soccer Recap: Rio Grande City Takes a Loss

After flying high against La Feria last Tuesday, Rio Grande City came back down to earth. The Rio Grande City Rattlers came up short against the Mission Veterans Memorial Patriots on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Rattlers have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Rio Grande City's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rio Grande City will venture away from home to take on Palmview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mission Veterans Memorial, they will head out on the road to challenge Mission at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
