Recap: King's Academy Lions vs. Benjamin Buccaneers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the King's Academy Lions walked away with it. They snuck past the Buccaneers with a 70-64 victory on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for King's Academy as they're now sitting on six straight.
It was another big night for Javian Jones, who shot 4-for-10 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 29 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Matt Mcpherson was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists.
King's Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. As for Benjamin, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
King's Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 74-60 defeat vs. Cardinal Newman on the 10th. Benjamin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
