Volleyball Recap: Carl Junction Comes Up Short

Carl Junction saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Riverton Rams.

While Carl Junction ultimately came up short, they really made Riverton work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 27-25.

Maddy Huffman paced Carl Junction's offense, picking up nine kills. Huffman got some help from Jadyn Howard and her 14 assists. Huffman also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Anna Lewis, each putting up two.

Carl Junction's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Riverton, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-2.

Coincidentally, Carl Junction and Riverton will both be playing Hillcrest the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will host the Hornets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
