Football Recap: Tekonsha Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Tekonsha and Waldron, and Waldron kept the tradition alive. The Indians had to suffer through a 51-0 loss at the hands of the Spartans. The Indians lost against the Spartans in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 2-0 score last time.

Seth Williams had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 147 yards and three TDs on only 12 passes, while also rushing for 31 yards and one touchdown for Waldron. Carmen Kurtz also helped with two scores in total.

Tekonsha's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Waldron, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Tekonsha will venture away from home to take on North Adams-Jerome at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians are facing the Rams at the right time seeing as the Rams are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Waldron, they will head out to square off against Lenawee Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
