Softball Recap: Crestline Bulldogs vs. Mt. Gilead Indians
Crestline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Mt. Gilead Indians.
For Mt. Gilead's part, Anavey Jodrey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks.
On the hitting side, Greer Simpson was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierra Main, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Crestline's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mt. Gilead, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-14 record this season.
Crestline will head out on the road to square off against Monroeville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mt. Gilead does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
