Thornton waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Southland College Prep. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Thornton who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 33-31, 22-25, 26-24.

Thornton's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Southland College Prep, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
