Softball Recap: Regis Rams vs. Santiam Wolverines
Regis took a 12-run defeat the last time they faced off against Santiam, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rams beat the Wolverines on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-7. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 15-3 victory the Wolverines walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.
Addie Bishop spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hadley Foster was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Abby Searles also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
