Recap: Hillsborough Raiders vs. Hunterdon Central Red Devils
Even though the Hillsborough Raiders have not done well against the Hunterdon Central Red Devils recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Hillsborough came out on top against Hunterdon Central by a score of 47-36. For Hillsborough, this counts as revenge for the 62-49 loss Hunterdon Central walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.
Hillsborough's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aadit Shah led the charge by scoring 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shah has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Philip Unangst, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Hillsborough's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Hunterdon Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Hillsborough will be playing at home against Governor Livingston at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Governor Livingston will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 172nd, while Hillsborough is ranked 36th). As for Hunterdon Central, they will head out on the road to face off against North Hunterdon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Hunterdon is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
