Soccer Recap: Cooper Victorious

After losing to Wylie the last time they met, Cooper decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cooper Cougars won by a goal and slipped past the Wylie Bulldogs 2-1. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by just one goal.

The win made it two in a row for Cooper and bumps their season record up to 8-6. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 9-5 Legacy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62.1% over those games). As for Wylie, they dropped their record down to 9-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Cooper will challenge Abilene at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Abilene will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cooper surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wylie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
