Basketball Game Preview: Morse Shipbuilders vs. Erskine Academy Eagles

The Morse Shipbuilders will venture away from home to square off against the Erskine Academy Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Morse will be strutting in after a victory while Erskine Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Morse took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 48-30 win over Maine Central Institute.

Meanwhile, Erskine Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 52-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Medomak Valley. The contest marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Morse's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Erskine Academy, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-3.

Morse took a serious blow against Erskine Academy when the teams last played on January 2nd, falling 65-21. Can Morse avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
