Volleyball Recap: Northwood Takes Down Columbia City in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, NorthWood rose to the challenge on Thursday. They blew past the Columbia City Eagles 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Ella Branham paced NorthWood's offense, picking up 13 kills. Branham got some help from Emily Uhlmann and her 27 assists. Uhlmann was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

NorthWood's victory bumped their record up to 17-14. As for Columbia City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-19 record this season.

NorthWood will take on Wawasee at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Columbia City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
