Basketball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty suffered their closest loss since December 18, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lighthouse Christian Chargers by a score of 53-51. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2021.

Lighthouse Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Judah Louderback led the charge by putting up 13 points in addition to six steals and five rebounds. Louderback is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Nigh, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 17 points.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Lighthouse Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

After both having extra time off, Liberty and Hartville will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Lighthouse Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Weaubleau on January 3, 2025. Lighthouse Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 64.4 points per game this season.
