Sand Creek is still undefeated this season after their matchup against Morenci on Wednesday, but Morenci came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Aggies came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Bulldogs. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Aggies have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The team relied heavily on Ivan Wilkinson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Dane Morrin was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Sand Creek pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Morenci, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sand Creek will head out to take on Hanover-Horton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morenci, they will face off against Vandercook Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
