Soccer Recap: Leland Gets Big Victory over Higher-Ranked University Liggett + How To Watch

Leland kept a clean sheet against University Liggett on Saturday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Knights 1-0. The win was all the more spectacular given Leland's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while University Liggett are ranked 36th).

The victory got Leland back to even at 8-8-2. As for University Liggett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Leland will challenge Suttons Bay at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Suttons Bay will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Leland surely won't give up without a fight. As for University Liggett, they will square off against Lutheran Northwest at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
