Volleyball Recap: Wheatland Finds Home Court Redemption Against Encina + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Wheatland, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Encina Bulldogs 3-0 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pirates also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2018.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Wheatland took every set by at least 18 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-5, 25-7.

Wheatland found their leader in sophomore Addison Gaylord, who had six aces.

Wheatland was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The win got Wheatland back to even at 1-1. As for Encina, they dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Wheatland has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Las Plumas on the 4th. As for Encina, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Ben Holt College Prep Academy on the 4th.
