North Eugene is 8-2 against Eagle Point since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Highlanders will host the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. North Eugene will be strutting in after a victory while Eagle Point will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, North Eugene was fully in charge, breezing past Churchill 62-12. The win continues a trend for the Highlanders in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 68-36, which was the final score in Eagle Point's tilt against Crater on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Comets are ranked 12th).

This is the second loss in a row for Eagle Point and nudges their season record down to 12-9. As for North Eugene, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.
