Preview: Alton Comets vs. Doniphan Dons
The Alton Comets will be playing at home against the Doniphan Dons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Alton didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Summersville, but they still walked away with a 75-71 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Alton.
Meanwhile, Doniphan's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Twin Rivers by a score of 62-60.
Alton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Doniphan, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Alton against Doniphan in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 71-43 victory. Will Alton repeat their success, or does Doniphan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
