Softball Game Preview: Mission Valley Vikings vs. Osage City Indians

The Mission Valley Vikings will challenge the Osage City Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Mission Valley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

Last Thursday, Mission Valley earned an 18-14 win over West Franklin. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Kyplee Jacobson was a standout: she went 5-for-6 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Adaline Bloomfield, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Mission Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. They are 9-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Osage City has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.56 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 11-4 to Hayden. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Osage City's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Mission Valley, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
